TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities. TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks, and are organized independently under a free license granted by TED. These events are not controlled by TED, but event organizers agree to abide by our format, and are offered guidelines for curation, speaker coaching, event organizing and more. They learn from us and from each other. More than 3000 events are now held annually.

TEDxKabulUniversity is an independently organized TED event that takes place annually at Kabul University in Afghanistan. The event brings together a diverse group of speakers from various fields, including technology, entertainment, design, and entrepreneurship, to share their ideas and experiences with the audience. The aim of TEDxKabulUniversity is to inspire and empower individuals to think differently and take action towards creating positive change in their communities. The event provides a platform for local voices to be heard and for innovative ideas to be shared with a global audience through the TEDx platform. TEDxKabulUniversity is a unique opportunity for individuals in Afghanistan to connect with each other and the world, share their stories, and showcase their talents. With its focus on innovation, creativity, and community engagement, TEDxKabulUniversity is an important platform for promoting positive change in Afghanistan and beyond..
A Studio event is same as a tradational stage event with few differences: No Single day event, No stage talk, and No live audiences.
We have two events this year: University event and Studio event.
